Instead, focus on niche segments such as offshore wind or high-altitude turbines where foreign expertise still commands a premium—China’s offshore wind market grew 58% annually from 2020 to 2023, and foreign-invested projects require more proven reliability.

Long-Term Outlook: Sustainability and International Competition

Envision faces new challenges as China’s wind market matures. The company’s international revenue grew from 3% in 2020 to 18% in 2023, driven by projects in Southeast Asia and Australia. However, exports face anti-dumping tariffs in many markets, and Chinese competitors like Goldwind (45% market share inside China) have deeper pockets.
